• Senior System Engineer – Servers, Storage & Hybrid Cloud

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically skilled Senior Server, Storage and Hybrid Cloud Engineer to design, implement and maintain enterprise-level infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will lead the planning, deployment, optimization and support of server systems, storage platforms and hybrid cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, VMware, Nutanix etc.). This role – Senior Systems Engineer Hybrid Cloud is pivotal in ensuring high availability, security and scalability of IT services that support critical business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Server & Storage Infrastructure:

• Design, deploy and maintain physical and virtual server environments (Windows/Linux/Vmware/Nutanix).
  
• Manage enterprise storage systems (SAN, NAS, DAS), ensuring capacity planning, performance tuning and data protection.
  
• Lead server patch management, backup/recovery strategies, and DR solutions.

Hybrid Cloud Engineering:

• Architect and implement hybrid cloud solutions integrating on-premises and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, VMware, GCP etc.).
  
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools (Terraform, ARM, etc.)
  
• Ensure secure and efficient connectivity between on-prem and cloud environments.

Operational Support:

• Provide L2 support and root cause analysis for escalated server, storage and cloud issues
  
• Monitor system performance, analyze trends and recommend improvements.
  
• Maintain technical documentation, system diagrams and operational procedures.

Security & Compliance:

• Implement and enforce security standards for infrastructure and cloud environments.
  
• Ensure compliance with data governance and industry regulations (e.g., ISO, GDPR, HIPAA).

Leadership & Collaboration:

• Ability to actively collaborate with cross-functional teams and technology providers.
  
• Lead strategic infrastructure planning and budget recommendations.
  
• Engage with vendors and service providers to evaluate new technologies and service.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  
• 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering.
  
• Proven hands-on implementation and troubleshooting expertise in enterprise server (Windows/Linux) and storage technologies.
  
• Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, VMware Cloud, etc.)
  
• Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.)

Certifications (preferred):

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• VMware VCP or VCAP
• NetApp/HPE/Dell EMC storage certifications
• ITIL Foundation

Technical Skills:

• Server platforms: Windows Server, RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu
• Virtualization: VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Nutanix and HPE
• Storage: NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE 3PAR/Nimble, Pure Storage
• Backup: Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik
• Cloud: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, load balancing
• Security: Firewalls, MFA, encryption, cloud identity (AAD, IAM)
